He does repeat a lot of words though. Tonight he even saw water boiling and said "Hot Water". No one had said anything about the water or that it was hot, but he put it together. It's really cool to see little breakthroughs in development like that. One way I've found to help relieve his tantrums when taking something from his was to start saying "bye-bye" to whatever it was. Now it's easy to take things away. Sometimes he still throws a fit, but most of the time it works like a charm. He says bye-bye to everything, even Squee! I think it just helps him to understand that he it might need to go away right now, but it will be back.
He found another broom to obsess about. The coffee shop's! Every time we go there now, he grabs it from behind the counter and tries to sweep the floor. It's funny to see him sweep, but even funnier to watch the people trying to avoid the handle that's swinging wildly around.

Yes, I know it's ridiculous! Mr. Cobra had his eye on one before he was even born. There was one in the window of the bike shop on the corner for several months. Mr. Cobra wanted to get it and I kept telling him to wait. Then one day it was gone. I had joked that I was going to buy it and hide it, so he freaked out and asked me if I had bought it to mess with him. I hadn't. There wasn't another one in the window for many more months. Then one day, we were coming home from a business lunch and there wasa new bike in the window. This time, Mr. Cobra didn't hesitate. He bought right that minute. I'm pretty sure it wasn't in that window for more than 2 hours.
Lastly, I cut his mullet. He was starting to look like Macgyver. With a little bit of Elmo to distract him, I snuck up behind him and cut his hair. I only got about 5 snips in before he decided he'd had enough. I kept a lock of it about an inch long.
