TGIF13!

…not really as Dexter has been in in a funk today. I decided to go to the parent's group this morning because I haven't been able to go in quite some time. It was nice to see people and it's amazing to see the difference a couple months makes in all the babies. While all the other babies all sat on their person's lap, Dexter decided to bounce off the walls. He can't sit still. I couldn't hardly hold onto him he's such a wiggle worm. He eventually just cut my visit short by having a meltdown because I wouldn't let him crawl around in the restaurant. Then he screamed bloody murder when I put him in his stroller. He had snot and tears streaming down his face. The only way I could get him settled was to give him crackers. I don't think that he was hungry, just was the only thing that gave his mouth something to do other than scream.

I then went to the office. Mr.Cobra has work to do today/this weekend, so I wanted to get lunch with him. We got some stuff done at the office while Dexter pushed his stroller all over. We each took turns making sure he didn't toss the stroller on his head. He did lap after lap. Then we decided to leave to get lunch and the screamfest started again. I went home instead of getting lunch since it was so close to his naptime. I spent 30 minutes trying to get him to sleep, only have him take a 30 minute nap.

I hope whatever it is goes away soon. I have patience, great patience even, but I can't handle him screaming every time he doesn't get something he wants or when I put him down on the floor to play. I understand when that happens the 10 or so times a day it normally happens. Today, it's been more like 50 times. To top it off, he's been throwing his head around during his tantrums and has hit his head a few times which just made him scream harder. These are the days that I ask myself - why am I saving my maternity clothes?
