Working Again

Admittedly, I have worked since about a month after Dexter was born. I was pretty much just doing project management on one of our projects that required my expertise. I didn't work a lot, just maybe an hour or 2 a day when he was napping. In November, we hired a nanny to come in and look after him for a whole 8 hours a week, so I could have dependable times to work. That was ok and was a good lead up to January. I am now up to 24 hours a week. I don't know when I will go back to full-time, but I am glad to be working again. I love Dexter to pieces, but I know he's in good hands and I just love doing what I do. Since I'm still at home, I get to listen to him playing, and I occasionally stop in to see him for a bit and play peekaboo. That's changing very soon. Our new office is a 5 minute walk from our apartment. The "boys" are moving in next week. We're having a network installed, so I have to wait until February to move into the office. I love the neighborhood and it will be great to not have a commute. I can walk home every couple hours to nurse Dexter and check in on him. I'll miss being able to hear him playing though.
