My sweet little cookie is still cooking. The antenatal appointment was quick this morning! A different nurse than usual did it and she was all business. I only got to see a very clear view of the bottom of his foot. I can't wait to see those on his birth certificate instead of an ultrasound!
My big help came on Sunday! Our doula has come to stay with us. She recently moved to SoCal and so now she's staying with us to help out during the birth and the first few weeks afterward. It's awesome to have a friend who so happens to be qualified and interested in sharing such a profound experience. As much as women share with their male partners, there's just a different connection between women about pregnancy and motherhood that men don't inherently comprehend. Mr. Cobra is the most attentive, caring partner and he's going to make a fantastic father, but it's nice to have the feminine energy around now too.
