We are just starting some potty training. He's had a potty for a few weeks. It's been successful with a few times. He knows poopy goes in the potty and just saying poopy will often get him to go sit on his potty. I'm sure if I was a little more persistent and consistent with it he'd be potty trained that way pretty quickly. I just don't want the pressure of it as it will happen soon enough. We're easing into it. It's not like he can take his pants and diaper off anyhow, so I'm not expecting him to be wearing underwear in a month. I would like not having to change poopy diapers though. I think if we're more actively training at 2, we'll be in great shape to be diaperless by this time next year.
My biggest challenge, making sure Squee doesn't beat me to the accidents. Dexter has had a couple mishaps, one of which resulted in poop on the floor next to his potty. I took him in the bedroom to clean him up and put a fresh diaper on. I had called Squee in with me, but he snuck out at some point. I walked into the living room to see Squee licking his lips and the poop was gone. Yeah, that was my reaction to - DISGUSTING. Spit up was one thing, but poop is a whole other.
