Easter was fantastic with perfect weather and a good friend of ours invited us to his wife's parents' house where they have huge Easter egg hunt every year. There were probably 20-25 kids with their little baskets all hunting for eggs. It was fun watching them all. There were a few toddlers and few babies, but mostly the kids were elementary school aged. Our friend's wife is one of 8 kids, so the family is pretty big. Everyone invites their friends too, so it's a pretty big spectacle. Dexter grabbed the eggs we set in front of him. He sat in the grass and played with Teo who turned 1 year old the day after Easter. He was in kind of a quiet mood which was unusual. We thought it might have been all the kids running around, but he didn't seem to be back to normal until the next day.
Monday was our un-anniversary. It was the day Mr. Cobra asked me out in high school. We still celebrate it every year because we always have. Our real anniversary, Halloween, is still new to us, and it will be many years before that holiday will be just for us. It was very odd to hear myself tell people it's been 15 years. I realized when I told our 22 year old nanny how long it had been, she was in 2nd grade when Mr. Cobra and I started dating. That's made me feel mature, not old, I'm certainly not that, just mature. Next year will be crazy because at that point, I will have spent half my life with Mr. Cobra. I couldn't fathom being with anyone else.

Dexter is now exploring the house. He's still on his belly, commando crawling, but he's getting faster. He moves about 4 feet in about 10 seconds when he's really going for something. He discovered how to go from the living room to the bathroom and he does that as many times as I'll let him. He'll then go down the hallway and play with the doors along the way. He also likes to go from the living room to the kitchen. He pulled himself up to standing on the dishwasher yesterday while I was putting up dishes.
He's getting into everything. It seems like I'm going to have to move some things into storage, so he doesn't break them. I had to clean off the coffee table, because he started pulling everything down. I had to move a bass guitar and a cable from the living room because he discovered it's "hidden" spot. I'm discovering all kinds of holes in our babyproofing, because I only did the crawling, 6" tall inspection, instead of the 2' tall standing and grabbing type of babyproofing. Little booger! I love Dexter to death, but he is a handful and he's only 7 months old!
