7 Weeks

Yesterday, Dex was awake all but about 4-5 hours during the day from 8:30am - 11:30pm. He still wanted to be awake at 11:00 pm, but I couldn't stay awake any longer. I laid him in his crib after I'd gotten him to drift off on my shoulder. He woke back up after a couple minutes. I'd already shut the lights off and was in bed getting ready to sleep myself. I was so tired I decided that he needed to go to sleep and as long as he didn't get upset, that he was just fine to coo in the dark. He never got upset. I fell asleep and then about half an hour later I woke up to a quiet room. I of course got up to check on him and ha was out like a light. He was so tired, he slept until 4:30am. That is technically "sleeping through the night" for the first time. However, on the flip-side today, Dex hasn't been awake for more than an hour yet as of 4pm. I'm hoping that I won't be up all night tonight.
