I went to my rheumatologist yesterday. I have a little inflammation in the knuckles of the fingers of my right hand. I hadn't noticed it before, but they are visibly larger than on my left. I think it's all the laptop work I've been doing lately. My arthritis has pretty much been on hiatus as is expected during pregnancy. I'm down from 3 prescriptions and 9 pills to 1 prescription and 2 pills. The only real symptoms I seem to have, aches and fatigue, are the same as what many pregnant women feel, so it's hard to tell if it's just being pregnant or my arthritis. Luckily, the prescription I'm taking now is considered okay for breastfeeding, even if I have to double the dosage. I won't be able to get back to my previous drug regimen until after I'm done breastfeeding which means my joints are fair game for my immune system to whittle away at.
So many things happening this month and there's still a lot left to do before the baby arrives!:
We have an ultrasound next Thursday. We're looking forward to seeing the little guy again. He'll probably be too big to see all of him, but just a peek will be awesome.
Our 3 day babymoon is next weekend. We're going to Mendocino, Ft. Bragg and riding the Skunk Train steam engine through the redwoods of Northern California.
Mike's band has another show coming up at Hotel Utah.
There's another OBGYN doctor appointment and then I start the weekly antenatal testing.
Our baby shower is on June 16th! I can't wait to see what happens at that. I've never even been to a baby shower before. I guess that's why I never even thought twice about inviting more men than women. Our doula is hosting it and is the best cook I know!
The grand finale for June is our Childbirth Prep class. We procrastinated a bit on that, but at least it will be fresh in my mind! I will be 35 weeks then and only have 2 more weeks to being considered full term.
