Spectacular Maker Faire

We went to the Maker Faire on Sunday and I have to say it was one of the best, most inspiring events I've attended in recent memory. I occasionaly visit the Make Blog to see interesting how-to's on everything from LED refrigerator lights to realistic Halloween special effects. There really was too much to see in just one day. My slow, waddling, easily tired, pregnant butt could only go so far. Some very cool highlights were a heavyweight robot battle, an electric car that went from 0-100mph in like 6 seconds, crazy wooden bicycles, lots of flame-throwing vehicles, a 10ft tall tesla coil, a self-propelled Victorian house, a robotic giraffe that you could pet and it would talk to you, a giant mouse-trap, and tons of fantastic crafts. One of my favorites were these compact little campers to rent called Hardtent. We also bought a couple of cute onesies for the baby from this company, Tomat. Check out some of our photos!

I also finally signed up for Childbirth classes from Natural Resources. I'll be 35 weeks when I take them at the end of June. My how time seems to be flying by.
